Site Support Engineer

Location: Biomass Power Plant, based at Templeborough, Rotherham
Hours: Full-time – 5 days per week Monday to Friday (37 hours)
Basic Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum, plus an annual bonus
Reports to: General Manager

We’re looking for a Site Support Engineer to join our team.  This role may suit someone who has experience in the process industries, from an engineering or operations background and is seeking to grow professionally.  This is a varied role where the successful candidate will have exposure to many aspects of the management of a modern biomass power station.  The Site Support Engineer will also provide general administrative, engineering, project and operational support to the EMSL team working at Templeborough.

Key Responsibilities

  • The administration and supervision of capital projects, key contractors and operational activities.
  • Support the EMSL finance team to place orders, track delivery and process invoices.
  • Support the EMSL asset management team by compiling and tracking key performance indicators, analysing data and compiling reports, some of which may be technical in nature.
  • Organise & attend meetings, taking notes and producing formal minutes.
  • Auditing contractor procedures, producing reports and following actions through to completion.
  • Support the EMSL fuel management team with the practical and administrative aspects of the fuel management process. This will include visits to fuel supplier locations to carry out an inspection of fuels and vendor processing systems.
  • Deputise for key personnel to provide cover in the event of absence to ensure a seamless service is provided to the plant and the client.

Who You Are

  • A high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent English language skills, both oral and written.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Proficient with all MS Office applications.
  • An understanding of mechanical, electrical and process control systems.
  • Good interpersonal skills, thrives in a team, but equally comfortable working on their own.
  • Flexible, able to adapt and meet the needs of the business.
  • Previous exposure to project, commercial and contract terminology.
