Weighbridge Operator, Eco2 Management Services Limited (EMSL)

The Weighbridge operator role at Margam Green Energy is a shift-based role (no nights) which involves the processing of fuel deliveries and waste collections at the Margam Green Energy power station. The role also includes lab duties to assess the incoming fuel deliveries against specifications.

This is a fixed term contract position which is scheduled to end on 30th September 2025 unless otherwise agreed.

Role Details:

Position: Fixed Term Contract until end of September 2025

Hours: Shift Pattern (no nights), covering 7 days per week (excluding night shift working) with some lone working required and two weekends per month.

Location: Based on-site at Margam Green Energy Biomass Plant

  • The package for this role includes an annual salary of £26770.

  • Accept/Reject deliveries of wood fuel at the plant, recording all necessary data on the weighbridge booking system in accordance with procedures. Log and store samples for each wood load as required.
  • Analyse wood samples for moisture content, size distribution and any potential contaminates.
  • Enter wood analyse results against each load into the database system.
  • Prepare samples for collection by external laboratories.
  • Controlling waste collections in and out of the plant via the weighbridge and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Liaise with delivery drivers as and when required.
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards in all work areas.
  • Any other reasonable request from weighbridge supervisor or management team in line with job requirements.

Skills and Behaviours:

  • General IT Literacy in MS Office, including Microsoft Teams, Word, and Outlook. System training will be provided.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously but must be a team player.
  • Have the ability to learn and understand the processes quickly and with accuracy.
  • Drive or have reliable transport to the site.
  • Role involves a rotating shift pattern covering 7 days per week (excluding night shift working) with some lone working required and two weekends per month.
